Sebastien Marq
Sébastien Marcq belongs to the small group of soloists on his
instrument. He studied the recorder with Marijke Miessen, Kees Boeke
and Walter van Hauwe in the Netherlands, where he obtained the diploma
of Uitvoerend Musicus in 1985.
In 1984, he obtained the first prize

The fifty or so
CDs in which he has participated include recordings for the Naïve
label: Maskes & Fantazies (English 17th-C music), Essercizii Musici
(Chamber Music by Telemann), Der Fluyten Lust-Hof (Dutch music by Jakob
van Eyck, 17th C), Sonate a Flauto, Violino e Basso by Bach, all of
them praised in critical reviews. The concerti for recorder by Vivaldi
with the ensemble Matheus were released in October 2002.
Sébastien
Marq is equally interested in contemporary music and in improvisation,
in orchestra directing and in education. He regularly gives
masterclasses in Israel and Germany, in the Netherlands and Japan. He
